WHAT ARE EXOBEASTS?

Exobeasts are Outriders' newest educational tool that transforms outdoor spaces into language learning environments. These creatures blend elements of fictional beasts with educational purpose, creating a bridge between adventure and English acquisition.

ACTIVE LEARNING THROUGH EXPLORATION

Unlike traditional collecting activities, Exobeasts require children to engage with their surroundings—observing nature, solving language-based puzzles, and applying new vocabulary to "discover" these magical beings in the wild.

CONNECTING IMAGINATION WITH NATURE

Each Exobeast is carefully designed to connect with real-world natural elements—from forest habitats to water ecosystems—ensuring children absorb important environmental concepts alongside language skills.

FAQS

Q. Who is this event for?

A. This event is designed for children aged 7-12 who love adventure, nature, and fun learning experiences. No prior knowledge of English or nature studies is required—just curiosity and enthusiasm. It is recommended that kids aged 7-9 should be accompanied by an adult as the park is large and hilly. There will be a number of Outriders instructors patrolling the park at all times to help students on their quest.

Q. Can younger students participate?

A. As the park is large and has a lot of steps it is not recommended for children younger than 7. Parents who wish to participate with younger children can contact Outriders as we may be able to make exceptions.

Q. How long does it last?

A. The event runs for about 2 hours.

Q. Is it a race?

A. Nope — kids can move at their own pace. It's about discovery, not speed!

Q. What happens if I don't finish the map?

A. No problem — everyone gets to keep their map and stickers, and we'll still reward effort and participation!

Q. Do children need to speak English fluently to join?

A. No! Our activities are designed to be engaging and accessible for all language levels. Through games and exploration, children will naturally develop their English vocabulary and speaking confidence. Our teachers are experienced in dealing with students with little English. Likewise, there is still learning and adventure to be had for students who are fluent or have a high level of English.

Q. How will my child benefit from this event?

A. They will have an amazing time being outdoors, seeing different parts of nature within their city, learning skills through domains such as cognitive (thinking), affective (social/emotional/feeling), and the psychomotor (physical/kinesthetic), speaking English, making friends, meeting friendly teachers and of course burning some calories.

Q. Will there be supervision?

A. Yes! Our team consists of experienced educators and outdoor guides who ensure that all children are safe, engaged, and having fun throughout the event. We will be roaming the park to aid in any way.

Q. What happens if it rains?

A. The event will continue rain or shine! However, in case of extreme weather conditions like lightning, we will notify participants of any changes in advance.

Q. How can I sign up?

A. Use the “Sign Up” Button on this page to sign up.  Our events usually sell out fast with limited spots, so we suggest you to sign up as early as possible.

Q. Can parents join the event?

A. This event is designed to take place within the park allowing students to fully engage in the adventure. As there are many paths and hills it is advised parents explore the surroundings with their children. However, older students (10-12) are free to explore the park independently while parents take a walk or grab a coffee in a nearby cafe.

Q. Can I just show up with my child on the day of the event without having signed up?

A. No. To provide the best learning experience for all and for safety reasons, student numbers are taken into account. We strongly advise you to sign up to guarantee a spot for your child.
